Disk Drive Cleaning is Easy with NuWet DM6701

NuGenTec researchers took a deep look into the removal of polishing slurries and formulated NuWet DM6701. Removing the polishing slurry from coated disk drives can be difficult if done incorrectly. NuGenTec’s NuWet DM6701 removes particulates and organics quickly while providing fast wetting and rinsing.

How Does NuWet DM6701 Work?

NuWet DM6701 is an alkaline, aqueous cleaning solution which removes silicon dioxide polishing slurries from electroless nickel (nickel-phosphate) coated substrates. The key difference between NuWet DM6701 and other disk drive cleaners is the care taken in determining the effects of dissolution and zeta potential on the efficacy of removing particulates and organics.

Faster Disk Drive Cleaning with NuWet DM6701

Due to the fast wetting and rinsing capabilities of NuWet DM6701, cleaning cycles are shorter and consume less water. This results in increased throughput and decreased cost. NuWet DM6701 removes 100% silicone dioxide slurry with no redeposition of slurry particulate. This is the result of a carefully tailored surfactant selection which caters to the zeta potential of the soil and an optimization for cleaning in an alkaline environment.
