Disk drive cleaning agent for removal of Silicon Dioxide slurry and particulate from Nickel-Phosphate coated substrates.

Description: NuGeneration Technologies’ NuWet® DM6701 is an alkaline aqueous cleaning solution used to remove Silicon Dioxide slurry and particulate from electroless Nickel (Nickel-Phosphate) coated substrates.  NuWet DM6701 was formulated to accommodate the current and foreseeable future needs of the Disk Drive Industry and offers an optimized mechanistic approach for removing polishing slurries and particulate from substrate surfaces in which dissolution and zeta potential behavior are accounted for.  NuWet DM6701 is the latest addition to the NuWet Series of Products and is meant to replace many of the previous polishing slurry detergents in the media storage industry like the NuWet DM30, DM36, and DM41.  It has been specifically designed as the new alternative cleaning method over "older" acidic cleaning like NuWet DA31C and NuWet 4100.

Characteristics: NuWet DM6701 offers improved removal of particulates and organics while providing extremely fast wetting and rinsing.  As such, NuWet DM6701’s cleaning cycles are shorter and consume less water than other cleaning products, thereby improving throughput and cost.  In formulating NuWet DM6701, the mechanisms of particulate dissolution, and surfactant selection carefully tailored to the soils’ zeta potential was optimized for cleaning in an alkaline environment.  The unique surfactant properties of NuWet DM6701 allow it to clean and be rinsed at ambient temperatures without the worry of potential re-deposition of slurry particulate.  NuWet DM6701 contains no toxic solvents. NuWet DM6701 is an effective, cost-competitive, and more flexible alternative to the traditional slurry and particulate removal solutions.

Directions for Use: NuWet DM6701 is used at 1-10% concentration, and should be used at ambient temperatures up to 30.0 °C (86.0 °F) in immersion with ultrasonics or megasonics.  The parameters can vary due to the type and extent of soils to be removed. After the washing cycle, parts should be rinsed thoroughly in ambient temperature de-ionized water up to 30.0 °C (86.0 °F).
