PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
NuGenTec Rust Remover is specially formulated for alkaline de-rusting (rust stripping and chemical rust removal) and the descaling of ferrous metals. The product's alkalinity (high pH) will not remove steel or iron-only oxides so that dimensional tolerance can be easily maintained. This non-acid formula lends itself to preventing hydrogen embrittlement. Also used for paint stripping, degreasing, and heavy-duty cleaning (separately or simultaneously) in metal, food, petroleum (oil and gas), railroad, and other industries. Rust Remover is recommended for removing light to medium heat scale from titanium. It finds application for cleaning molds in rubber manufacturing plants, too.
Characteristics:
NuGenTec Rust Remover meets the cleaning requirements of federal specification TT-C-490C, Method V. It will not attack ferrous metal parts.
