FluoSolv® EVD is a high solvency vapor degreasing solvent formulated with European regulatory requirements for vapor degreasing in mind. FluoSolv® EVD is a proprietary, non-flammable blend of hydrofluoroether fluids (HFEs) and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene (t-DCE) and does not contain any hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). What is Vapor Degreasing?
Vapor degreasing is a cleaning method that involves heating a solvent until it boils and allowing the vapor to condense onto the metal that is being cleaned. When the solvent condenses on the metal, an ideal solvent will solvate every molecule of soil from the surface, leaving a substrate that is perfectly clean - this is a form of precision cleaning.

Hydrofluorocarbons act as greenhouse gases and are thus being cut back and regulated by the EU.
