NuGenTec Announces U.S. Made Gumlast® L8015 O-rings extend PM cycle for PEP Iridia
April 26, 2011 – Emeryville, California (PRlog) --NuGeneration Technologies (NuGenTec) announced today that its Gumlast™ L8015 O-ring kit has been successfully qualified in PEP Iridia plasma ash tool. A major 200mm US foundry has successfully extended the PM cycle with Gumlast L8015 O-ring kit. Gumlast is 100% perfluoroelastomer made in the U.S.A. Utilizing proprietary pseudo-living polymerization, multiple grades have been formulated to optimize the performance of the O-rings, seals and custom shapes in many different applications. Gumlast™ L8015 perfluoroelastomer is manufactured in state of the art highly modernized & ISO certified production lines with very high line yield. Adding further value, the company’s Gumlast™ L8015 FFKM parts are priced at or near 50% of most other FFKMs in the market today. Because of the critical role of sealing components in the semiconductor processes, NuGenTec considers this benchmarking status to be noteworthy for a U.S.A. manufactured product with a significantly lower price point. “O-rings are very susceptible to breakdown and erosion when exposed to Fluorine radicals from downstream plasma source and we are very pleased with resilience of Gumlast L8015 perfluoroelastomer O-rings" said Fred Pourmirzaie, director of FloDynamix LLC, a division of NuGeneration technologies LLC.
